ABOUT ME

I'm Karl, a nature photographer based in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where the beauty of the outdoors inspires my work every day.

I’m drawn to the forests, lakes, rivers, wildlife, rugged shorelines, and changing seasons that make the Upper Peninsula such a special place. Through photography, I look for both the sweeping beauty of the landscape and the smaller details that often go unnoticed—a pattern in stone, the texture of moss, delicate forest growth, or an animal moving quietly through its surroundings.

With a deep appreciation for forests, lakes, wildlife, and the changing seasons, I enjoy capturing the quiet moments and natural details that often go unnoticed. My love for everything outside leads me to explore rugged shorelines, peaceful trails, remote landscapes, and the many hidden places that make the Upper Peninsula special. My hope is to share the wonder of nature, encourage others to spend time outdoors, and preserve the beauty of the places I love.
